The Honorable Caroline Nsali Boscawen arrived with her fiancée Miss Betsey Martinez, and both were accompanied by Miss Sarah Boscawen. The three elegantly attired, Miss Caroline in a dress of emerald green satin and silk, Miss Sarah in a pale pink gown the now Mrs Buxton-Beauchamp had tailored before the years end which was not worn during the last season. The three entered and went to greet the Duchesses with curtsies and a bow from Miss Martinez. Miss Caroline smiling brightly - “Congratulations Your Grace and Your Grace” a twinkle in her eye when addressing Duchess Eleanor. “I hope it was a beautiful ceremony. And what a beautiful day you’ve had.” Visibly glad the weather had kept dry and even some sunshine had shown its face. After greeting their friends, they took their seat for the wedding breakfast, charmed by all the elegance and detail of the flowers and tables. A few moments later the Viscount of Falmouth and the Viscountess also arrived to congratulate the Duchesses, taking their place with the rest of the guests.

@Eleanor Buxton (Kath) As the handsome couple enters the room there is a soft audible gasp from Sarah - who leaves her book behind and goes to admire Lady Buxton’s dress. ~Welcome to Tregothnan Miz Buxton, Lady Beauchamp. You both are looking well, thank goodness.~ The greetings said with a graceful courtesy. ~I was in such a state while you were gone you know. Who else knows how to measure me so fast~. Caroline then came to greet Miz Buxton and Lady Beauchamp as well. “Lovely to see you both”. Caroline as empathic as ever notices the shawl. “I will make sure you are seated closer to the fireplace when we dine. But first I must introduce Lady Davenport ( @madelynblue2012) if you haven’t met already.” Since Miz Buxton is seated near the fire, she is actually given a seat by the Viscount Falmouth (Hugh Boscawen) who offers her a genteel smile and a bow. While they bring out the soup, he comments “I do hope my Ladies are not demanding too wildly with their fashion ideas. But from everything I hear, I do think you are near angelic.~ And when she compliments the soup, his smile brightens. ~Well, that will cheer up Miss Sullivan…she did need to cheering up tonight. Also the Viscountess will be pleased to hear.~ Caroline is so pleased to have Miz Buxton in her after dinner tour around the house. And tells her how the women of her village took to macrame and beads very excitedly—they even started making earring of different colors — she hoped to get some back from her maternal Grandmother with a parcel that will hopefully be sent with Captain Griffen’s ship. She adds - “I should ask the artisans to establish an export..they could be quite the fashion during the summer.” Since they were already walking together while admiring art, Caroline asked Miz Buxton. “Did I hear correctly that Lady Beauchamp is heir apparent of a Duchy?” Because, with her father’s approval, Caroline was able to invite Caroline’s admirer Betsey - Betsey and Caroline will ask Miz Buxton and Lady Beauchamp to exchange dance partners in one of the slower dances.

@madelynblue2012 — Viscountess Diana and Caroline start fixing their countenance to not worry about the servants and to welcome Caroline’s new acquaintance Lady Davenport. Caroline making the appropriate introductions between the Lady and the Viscountess. Caroline would also make sure to introduce her Father the Viscount Falmouth and her sister Sarah. It would be Viscountess Diana who would be very interested in commenting on the nice fabric of her dress and ask after the health of her family and…~You must tell me about all of them and your home so we can be better acquainted..~ She did not show any sign of knowing the scandal about her brothers and if she did - she did not show she cared at all for the Viscountess kept asking about the Earl and her Mother—and any family she is close with. At some point before they were seated Caroline did ask - “Is it true your hand was injured…I dare say since we didn’t know each other in Twelfth Night and I was busy performing Queen, I saw not heard anything about it…and you know, The Gazette socials leave something to be desired. Or was it somewhere else I heard that…? At any rate, I do hope you are well and I did recognize the description of the gown though and wish I had enough roses to have given you a favor for it and the wassailing.” Caroline offered a bright smile with the compliment. She did like everyone that joined the wassailing that night a bit extra.

Caroline looked at the beautiful tables dressed and ready for their guests. Her mother had such an exquisite taste in her choice of flowers, linens and decorations. With this dinner they would finally feel settled in Tregothnan House as the family in charge of the peerage. Her fingers ran the white satin of her gown with the pretty embroidery on the bottom. Her father on a seat by the fire place with a newspaper, her sister not far from him on a couch with a book to entertain herself and her mother overlooking the last details of the choices made by the servers, maids and the kitchen staff. The Viscountess spoke to the housekeeper – “We are sure that all the kitchen staff and the musicians had a good meal before starting their duties, right? I do not want anyone worked to hunger here…this is not that type of household.” ~”Of course not M’Lady…”~ Caroline approached her father by the fireplace, “Any news of your Opinion piece Father?” Viscount Falmouth looked up with a shake of his head “Not yet Caroline, I imagine in the next issue.” “It was very brave of you to have submitted it, and I’m very proud of you Father…I had not said that yet.” The Viscount took his daughter’s fingers and gave it a bit of a squeeze. Sarah offered a warm smile with a side glance before turning to her book. On the other side of the room the housekeeper was looking puzzled at a serving table, making the Viscountess question: “Is there anything wrong?” “I could have sworn all the serving knives were in place before you all entered.” The Viscountess and the Housekeeper’s attention were brought to the side entrance from the kitchen. Miss Tregidden came out chased by the cook Miss Sullivan. “It was her, Susan Tregidden…! I know she has the knife. I saw her with it.” The Housekeeper looked at the cook with a mixture of alarm and embarrassment. “Miss Sullivan there is no need for this…we can settle this in the kitchen at once. For now we will do with one from a different setting.” And at the tail end of that speech from the Housekeeper, a footman enters to announce their first guest. The Viscount and Sarah rise to greet, the Viscountess starts approaching the entrance as well with an alarmed look to the Housekeeper – the Housekeeper starts shooing away the cook and the maid, and Caroline the closest to the door turns to greet their first guest as well. The whole of the Boscawen family greeting the first guest with smiles and very awkwardly embarrassed expressions.

I just received you letter, hoping to pen a few soon. I will also send a plot over in Discord :)

January 7th, 1812 Caroline is seen bidding farewell to Miss Betsey Martinez in front of the Boscawen's London residence. The Boscawen's leave in their carriage, and no sooner had they turned a corner when Miss Martinez is then seen stopped and greeted by a lady of the name of Miss Catherine Grace. The raven hair elegant lady is all delight at seeing Miss Martinez and offers all her best smiles. She also offers to accompany Betsey some of the way back to her next place of business to catch up with what she has been up to since they had last spoken about three years ago. The two seemed to converse for more than a few blocks before they part ways at an intersection.

January 4th, 1812 Miss Caroline Boscawen was seen in London the day prior to the Twelfth Night masquerade in the company of Miss Betsey Martinez, co-owner of the Martinez Fine Stone and Jewelry Imports business. The two women were in the company of two children, one was a child dressed in masculine clothing who is addressed as he/they with fair complexion and a head full of curls kept back in a ponytail by a ribbon. The other was a little girl in feminine clothing who presented as having mixed heritage from Benin and Spain, her curls very much like the other child-she reassigned her gender publicly in 1811 with her feminine presentation. The children appear to be between the ages of 9-11. The children are surnamed Martinez. Both women and the children entered a residence, smiles of merriment and inside jokes shared.

Would love for Caroline to give @Eleanor Buxton (Kath) credit for her custom dress which she will have on already when she arrives to the festivities. It is very flamboyant. I can send over the idea.

Hi everyone - if anyone wants to plot I will be catching up with this thread throughout January - as far as my ISO - looking for people who wish to dance with Caroline’s Twelfth Night Character. We can discuss in Message or Discord possible scenarios.

The Boscawens will be there to support the presentation since both sisters Sara and Caroline already debuted. Word would have arrived to the court that Caroline’s father Hugh Boscawen is now Viscount Falmouth (after his brother’s death) and Caroline would be Heir Apparent. (let me know if I have to submit/edit peerage titles somewhere else ok?)

On the night of the Wilde Violet operas the Boscawens were witnessed leaving the home they leased in London and entering their carriage. The Boscawen sisters sported fine colorful fabrics draped over their gowns that had been purchased in the Atlantic Triangle and beaded jewelry purchased from the Westlands artisans with Jasper and Turquoise. Just as the evening was wrapping up and people were planning to either go home or after hour gatherings, the Boscawen sisters were seen saying goodbye once more to the Countess of Oakwood ( @Captain Jack ’s mother) when their parents looking distressed interrupted. It was overheard that they must part as some pressing news had arrived to their house concerning Hugh Boscawen's brother, the Viscount of Falmouth. He had been bed ridden for some time due to complications from the miasma illness. While the Countess urged them on to leave the opera house and attend their pressing business, the Honorable Hugh Boscawen looked pale with worry, while Diana pressed his hand on the way to their carriage, Sara and Caroline behind them and comforting their father by taking his hand as the door closed.

You are so kind, office after a pandemic and work from home are like 😳 the hell.

@Captain Jack The Boscawens will make sure to visit the family box before the show begins. It will be quite the treat for Mrs. Boscawen as she has not seen the Retired Major since that fateful rescue during her youth in the Caribbean. Caroline and Sarah would have been all smiles at the warm regards of the Retired Major as she had recently entertained them over tea and had the pleasure of hearing all kinds of seafaring stories.

@Lady Malaya Along with the exciting RSVP from Lady Malaya, Caroline would have ensured that they had a day of socializing more informally by inviting the Lady to go on a tasting of some of the 40 flavors of Kola Ale. More to elaborate on the letters :)
