In Event Coordination
This will be announced in the March Gazette, but since the goal is to have it written up for the April issue, I wanted to give people a bit more advance notice. Lady Tabitha de Beauchamp and Miz Eleanor Buxton invite all friends and well-wishers to a breakfast celebrating their marriage, on April 2, 1812, at 11 in the morning at their London home, Maison Paonne-Renarde. This will also celebrate Lady Tabitha's accession to her title as Duchess of Montpelier, as she will attain that title upon her marriage, and will be the couple's first appearance as the Duchesses. If you'd like to participate, I'd appreciate info by March 25th so I can write things up in time for the April issue.

In Backgrounds and Character dev
Name: Eleanor Buxton Pronouns: She/her Age: 18 (born December 1, 1792) Marital status: Single, on the market Orientation: Bi/pan Social status: Upper merchant/nouveau riche Profession: Proprietor, Buxton's Clothiers Form of Address: Miz, Miss, or Mistress Buxton are all fine; Eleanor to intimate friends and family Home location: London; Buxton's Clothiers is on Bond Street and Eleanor lives nearby on Brook Street Family: Mother: Dorothea Buxton, deceased last year Father: James Buxton, died in military service in the beginnings of the Napoleonic Wars in 1803 Bio: Eleanor is the only daughter of James and Dorothea Buxton. After James's death, Dorothea put her talents and eye for fashion to work by founding Buxton's Clothiers, which rapidly became one of *the* places for the fashionable high-society set to be dressed. Eleanor grew up in the shop, and developed her own keen eye for fashion and head for business, so when Dorothea succumbed to pneumonia a year ago, Eleanor was well placed to take over despite her youth. She has a reputation for wit and cunning. The shop is very prosperous, though obviously not at the level of wealth that the nobility can command. She is conventionally attractive, with brown hair and hazel/brown eyes. She is, perhaps, a bit of a social climber, eager to improve her standing in the world, but also proud to carry on the name and work of Buxton's. Eleanor debuted at Queen Charlotte’s reception in 1811. According to the Gazette, Her Majesty made a remark about Eleanor’s resemblance to one Lord William Bentinck. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_William_Bentinck, though minus the governor-general of India part in this world) She also attended the Everbloom Ball. She attended the Denouement Ball, though of course in disguise, and Buxton’s is known to have made a number of the outfits seen at that event. She has a black and white English setter puppy named Reginald, acquired from Lady Primrose Hazelton. Connections wanted: Friends, clients, business associates (folks in the textile industry?), potential romances (though there may be one already brewing…), distant relations, people who might have connections to the Bentincks?…. And anything else creative you might think of!
