The one post is giving me anxiety so I’m moving my stuff over here!
Character Name: Miss Hazel Ottillie Wynnewood (she/her)
Age:31
Location: London but travels a lot for work. Her family house a country house in Harrogate.
Bio:
(will make this prettier later)
Hazel is the Eldest Wynnewood daughter. She graduated Oxford and is the General Manager at The Wilde Violet Theatre. She‘s spent her debutant years building her career, and now she wants to invest more in her personal life. Hazel is whip smart, charismatic and always in the know. However she associates with many lowly theatre people which makes her seem a bit... messy.
NPC Kin:
The Matriarch, Henriette Wynnewood
Henriette is running the family mercantile business alone after being widowed. She would have liked one of the eldest to run it but, Ben married into the gentry and Hazel DEMANDED to make her own way. If The Wilde Violet fails, Henriette expects Hazel to go into the family business of imports. For now Isidor is being groomed to run the business but he's in his rake stage. She is smart as a whip, mischievous and a lot of trouble, especially when drinking. This is where Hazel gets much of her spark.
Elder Brother, Lord Benjamin Wynnewood (33) Benjamin think married into the gentry. He's always been obsessed with social climbing, making money and status. During his time at Oxford, he made sure to mingle and befriend the cream of the crop and to burrow deep into their friend groups. He married his Oxford classmate, Lucille. He became a successful lawyer to keep up her lifestyle and they landed him. He feels he's much better than the rest of his nouveau riche family.
His Wife, Lady Lucille Wynnewood.
His toddler daughter, Lavender
Younger Brother, Isidor Wynnewood (28). Is being groomed to take over the family business. He's in his rake stage and is making many terrible decisions. With many in Hazel's employ. Which she isn't a fan of.
Younger Sister, Euphemia (24), recently graduated from Oxford and is ready to fully enter her debutant stage. She is the younger, more accomplished and prettier sister to Hazel. Everyone compares the two. Is Hazel jealous? Many think so.

Current Connections:
@Abraham Griffen (Steve he/him)
Abraham is a cousin of theirs. Hazel and Abraham are of similar ages so they've been friends. Hazel often tries to push Abe out of his shell. She doesn't particularly like Abraham's older siblings though. They're shameless.
@Lady Charlotte Grant
Hazel doesn't particularly know what to do with Charlotte. She's never really the center of attention, so having someone look up to her with such adoration is a little challenging for her.
@Lord Nicholas Howard
Nicholas doesn't read signs, likes to wander backstage and fraternize with her employees. If he wasn't such a charmer, Hazel would have thrown him out and banned him. Maybe Nicholas is friends with her younger brother, who is quite similar? @Eleanor Savery (Hilary)
Her family are donors to her theatre, and Hazel has arranged for House Concerts for them. Hazel has taken Eleanor under her wing as a mentor figure, which her family doesn't love. Hazel fraternizes with all those tawdry theatre people after all. Hazel tries to be on her best behavior with Eleanor to preserve her business relationship with the Savery family.
@Countess Theodora "Theo" Monroe (Tessa)
Theo makes Hazel feel insecure. She's higher status, accomplished and is starting all these charitable organizations. Hazel can't believe she is as good as she says she is. Hazel will join up with a charitable organization, because she's a nice girl, but Hazel is very suspicious of Theo. Maybe Euphemia doesn't like her and has been fueling the suspicion?
@H. Ada Everley Whitman (Carly)
Ada is a patroness. Also Ada is Hazel's friend as a fellow spinster aged mischief maker.
@Lady Violet Heloise Blankeney-Coventry (Elizabeth)
Another one of Hazel's mentees. They met because Violet wanted to go to the theatre with her name on it. Hazel had her business hat on, and then felt the need to guide the fledgling out of the grasp of obvious wolves.
@Octavia Thistledown (Tavvi) / (JL)
Is a dear friend of hers, though people might not know it on first glance. They are both business women and very independent so they have that in common. They both have lashing tongues and tease each other relentlessly. However, if you dare insult the other to their face, they will completely destroy your life.
@Lady/Marquess Emmeline Petty-Fitzmaurice (Robin) One of biggest supporters and treasured investors. She is invited to all the theatre parties and is treated like royalty by Hazel. She has the best box seat in the entire theatre.
Hi Rachel, I'd really love for Emmeline to be a steady investor in the theater and I'd like to reserve a box seat if it's okay with you. (If it's problematic for it to be my own investment, maybe it was my mother & father's and I inherited it and kept up payments?)
If her older brother is a lawyer, perhaps he is a friend of Mr. Hughes.
@(Rachel) Hazel Wynnewood Lady Vi is best friends with Theo from their Oxford days, so I'm not sure if and how that plays into anything. I'm also thinking Vi shows up at Hazel's parties (albeit dressed very differently than usual) and it's wildly inappropriate, but because she's such a clear ingenue no one ever really thinks she's doing anything particularly scandalous.
Me too. And how many of us are there?
Haha! I started to feel the same way about the one thread thing. I would love to plot & chat with people but also don’t want to end up “hogging” a thread and making it hard for others to do the same. :D
Cousin! How fortuitous! Abraham is a Hufflepuff. That’s why he is such a good ship’s captain.
