Hi all!
I just want to pop in with a quick message on this last day of character submissions for our very first newsletter. I am so happy and honored that so many of you want to play or read about this game that was a random passion project and has already grown to something that is a part-time job for a couple of us now. I planned on starting with just me doing all the Newsletter and NPC letter writing, but so many of you have joined us before we have even officially started, that Elizabeth Upshur, our consultant and writer for West Africa, just accepted my offer to work part-time on this project helping me with the main writing tasks. I am so excited to be able to collaborate more with her and all of you and the folxs who might continue to join us in this adventure.
Please know that I am aiming to get this first edition of the newsletter in the mail, by Friday because I know many of you have been waiting so patiently to get started in earnest and I want them to arrive on or before March 1st if the USPS can accommodate. As it is the first of it's kind it will take me more time than it should in the future to get layouts the way I want them, etc. so just know I might be heads down for this week and not as responsive to questions as I usually am. I'll still try and dedicate one hour a day to scanning and responding to messages, but that might mean waiting a day before I get back around to it. If you can, best thing is to send me an email gm@romancingjan.com because those are easier for me to prioritize and mark for answering later vs messages here or in chat.
So once again I am so grateful for all of your support on this project and I am excited to share the first chapter with you. I hope you enjoy these little pieces of art showing up in your mailboxes as much as my writers, your fellow players and myself have enjoyed creating them.
Humbly Yours,
Athena
