Yes as we are entering into the months when Society is away at country homes, there is a pause in large scale events. We should have announcements for start of the year shindigs soon though!
I know this is way late but is this the event that Carrington was invited to? I feel like I got my letter like way after this was all over but I haven't seen any other events on here??
Captain Abraham Griffen will be attending the opening night of his beloved cousin's theatre. He would never miss an opening night. He will be attending alone, and he will be in the Griffen Family box. He greatly enjoyed both operas since he knew both female leads. If one looked into the Family box, they would have noticed Captain Griffen silently weeping at times as Mozart's music swelled with emotion. Afterwards he will be very quiet and somber, his usual enthusiasm dampened. His cousin, Miss Hazel Wynnewood, may or may not have seen Abraham. His friends also may or may not have seen him at the theatre before or after the performances. Abraham will arrive late for cocktails, will request dinner away from dancing in a private room or family box with the curtain drawn and will leave shortly after the performance of The Impresario, not attending the after party.
Captain Viscount Blackmore's mother, Ret. Major Emma Thorn Blackmore, the Countess of Oakwood will attend on his behalf, doing her usual get-Jack-married thing, and she will happily gossip and banter with anyone that wants to visit her up in the family box or during cocktails/dinner/dancing. For visualization, imagine the renowned real world actress Emma Thompson playing a retired Royal Marine officer and attending the gala in masculine cut evening attire.

Hi! Actually yes. I just stated working as the Socials Head so I’ve been absorbed in the Glorious Twelfth and The Triangle Festival but next week I’ll post some more details that’ll go here, in the Gazette and on socials.
I was actually wondering about the cast of the opera and if Flora had secured a role.
I have this idea for making small tokens of appreciation I can send over the mail on behalf of Caroline for people interacting and greeting her so if anyone wants one of these tokens, you can send me a message.
I was wondering if some of the opera pieces or inspiring opera pieces can be found in Youtube for anyone wanting to watch during letter writing or forum typing? I know some people during the lock downs have also made collective watch parties and things like that, but not sure if this would be a thing of interest.
That's just some ideas on top of my head.
Here is a link for posting "secret" info for this event :) https://airtable.com/tbleYGlyC1yVP26f0/viwvI4UfOaUDbE4MA?blocks=hide
Hazel needs a modiste. Lol
Ooh, that sounds like fun. Buxton’s would be happy to design opera dresses. Eleanor doesn’t know much about opera but will gladly attend such an event!
I’m going to message you in Discord as soon as I concoct something lol
